Location: State Hall 115
Time: 1-2:30pm
Description:
How do we enable communities to speak for themselves and share their collective narrative? In this session, participants will learn about the participatory poetry technique called community poem.
The community poem is a literacy learning tool that Know Allegiance Nation uses in non-traditional educational spaces such as community gardens and open mics to facilitate the collective writing process.
We will broadcast a counter narrative as we record and uplift our power through our shared voice in the session.
